Narrative description of Project

Government of Malawi received grant from the International Development Agency (IDA – World Bank Group) for implementation of the Shire River (longest river in Malawi) Basin Management Program (SRBMP), Phase I Project. For better implementation and management of the project, SRBMP was interested in developing a new office building in Blantyre and a 0.76 Ha plot has been acquired for the office building construction. This project is a modern state of art building comprising of conference room, training room, exhibition hall, Laboratory, Training rooms, agency office, etc.
The building is designed on Green Building norms like rainwater harvesting, energy efficiency, effective use of natural lighting, physically challenged accessibility, open space/flexible interior design, security, stability, fire safety, aesthetic appearance, accessibility for equipment installation, etc.
