Narrative description of Project

Kothagiri is third Hill Station in Nilgiris plateau, situated on the North Eastern crest of the Nilgiris plateau at an elevation of 1990 Metres. Kothagiri, with its bracing climate as the best in the Nilgiris and the second best in the world among the Hill stations.
Kothagiri Town Panchayat is a Special Grade Town Panchayat located in Nilgiris District.The administrative area of this town panchayat is 30.93 sq.km. The selected area is divided into 21 administrative wards including 65 villages and colonies.
The objective of the assignment is to study, analyse, design and prepare a implementable DPR for revamping Distribution System in the selected areas of Kothagiri Town Panchayat area by undertaking a technical, financial, economic, environmental and social impacts assessment studies, prioritized capital investment plan, detailed designs, drawings, cost estimates and bidding documents for planning and implementation, etc.,
